Superstructure in assembly line process

Efficient and precise.

Whenever space permits, continuous track superstructure using the assembly line method has proven to be the most efficient and fastest method. The track construction work is carried out with the aid of large machines. Eiffage Infra-Rail has the latest specialised equipment at its disposal in order to be able to build railway infrastructure using the assembly line method, as well as the intermittent method. This includes, for example, the Matisa P100 track-laying machine, currently the most powerful and safest of its kind in Europe. The manufacturer incorporated our ideas and experience, which we have gained over decades of track construction practice, into its design.

Advantages compared to the conventional cycle method

  • Precision
  • High working speed
  • Many work steps in one operation, for example when removing the old and installing the new rails
  • Gentler treatment of the material
  • Better preparation of the substrate
