The Niersverband Viersen is handling several projects at the Mönchengladbach-Neuwerk sewage treatment plant between 2022 and probably the end of 2026. The Civil Engineering department was commissioned with the "Concrete and Pipeline Construction" measure.
The contract includes the following key construction services:
- Construction of secondary clarifier 8 together with concrete construction of a pumping station, shafts and pipeline construction (enclosure of the construction pits with sheet piling and CSM shoring, lower sealing of the construction pits by means of underwater concrete floors anchored back with micropiles)
- Construction of the shell of blower hall 2 as a concrete structure (semi-precast construction)
- Construction of an elevated cable route as a concrete and steel structure (deep foundation using bored piles)
