Construction of the Kauerndorf Tunnel and supporting structures as part of the Kauerndorf bypass, B289 Kulmbach – Münchberg:
- Western tunnel entrance portal: three support structures, an emergency system and an operations building with a fire-fighting water supply system
- East tunnel exit portal: four retaining structures and an emergency facility
- Tunnel length: 750 m, of which 626 m is excavated
- two rescue tunnels (240 m / 50 m)
- Road and track construction in the approach cuts
- Underground pipework and cabling in the portal areas and on roads
