Eiffage Infra-Nordic and Eiffage Infra-Rail carried out track renewal works on Gjøvikbanen in Norway together with Leonhard Weiss. The project was executed during five night shifts between 26 August and 2 September 2026.

The works covered a total distance of 5,474 metres and were carried out using a MATISA P100 track renewal machine.

The work was performed under demanding site conditions. As the operation took place at night, careful planning and coordination were essential to ensure safe and efficient execution. Personnel had to board and leave the machine at designated staging points on a station. This required close coordination between machine operations, personnel movements and worksite logistics.

The route also included narrow passages alongside rock faces and sections with high railway embankments. These conditions placed particular demands on operational planning, communication and machine handling.

Despite the challenging environment the project was completed efficiently with a strong focus on safety, quality and reliable delivery.
