The project is a 3 km long section of the continuous three-track extension of the upgraded line 2270 (ABS) 46/2 (Amsterdam-) border D/NL - Emmerich-Oberhausen

The project involves a 3 km section of the continuous three-track upgrade of the 2270 (ABS) 46/2 line (Amsterdam) German–Dutch border – Emmerich–Oberhausen

In the inner-city area of Oberhausen, the track alignment is being widened during track closure periods, involving approximately 100,000 m³ of earthworks, 5,000 m of track and 8 sets of points, as well as 2,500 m of bored piles and 7,000 m of vibro-compacted columns. In addition to the associated civil engineering, waste disposal, drainage and underground cabling works, construction work is being carried out on 9 engineering structures and overhead line works along a 3,000 m stretch involving 140 new masts.

The project is divided into the following main works:

  • Earthworks
  • Drainage DN 150–400
  • Underground cabling
  • Track construction
  • Engineering structures
  • Specialised civil engineering
  • Overhead line
  • Detailed design of transport and overhead line systems
