Construction of a wooden noise barrier

The construction site is located in the Wandsbek district, in the Sasel neighbourhood on Saseler Parkweg. The areas to be worked on comprise an existing sports facility, a large playing field with synthetic turf. A noise barrier was erected on the northern and eastern sides of the sports ground.
The noise barrier was erected in various heights and designs.
On the north side (length 56 m, height 4 m plus a 2 m high transparent noise barrier, and length 40 m, height 4 m) and on the east side (length 74 m, height 4 m with a 4 m high ball-catch net fitted on top).

Key services:
Detailed design, preparatory and follow-up earthworks, approx. 1,500 m² of temporary access road to protect the existing artificial turf pitch.
Foundations: Steel tubular piles, diameter 508 x 6.3 mm, individual lengths approx. 4–6 m
Wall plinth: precast reinforced concrete elements
Wall elements: approx. 500 m² of reflective wooden LSE panels, approx. 120 m² of transparent wall elements, approx. 300 m² of polypropylene ball-catch netting.
