On Friday 14 June 2024, the Landshut State Building Authority hosted the ground-breaking ceremony for our joint Isar Bridges project. In addition to project stakeholders from the Landshut State Building Authority and Eiffage Infra-Süd GmbH, the Bavarian Ministry of Transport and Landshut Municipal Utilities were also represented.

The shared aim is to upgrade the Isar bridges to current standards with increased load-bearing capacities. The two bridges over the Kleine Isar and Große Isar will be replaced by two new structures. Temporary bridges will be used to ensure that traffic can continue to flow during the construction period. In addition, each of the new bridges will be equipped with a 4-metre-wide footpath and cycle path.

The project is scheduled for completion by June 2027.
