Who has the longest crane?

Without a doubt, our MTA (Mechanical Engineering Department)💪. Whilst we’re talking about colossal structures and loads weighing several tonnes, our colleagues at the Pfaffenhofen building yard can only smile wearily. For our MTA, this is just part of everyday life. But today’s loading operation did attract a few fans who are fascinated by huge machines that tower up into the sky. That’s because steel pipes were being loaded for our Mörlenbach viaduct , which are needed for the stream culverting work there. When you see these giant components, you’d be more likely to think of a raging river😎.

With the help of our in-house fleet of machinery – including some impressive equipment from the region – precise, meticulous work and, of course , perfect teamwork, the pipes – each weighing up to 5 tonnes, 15 metres long and with a diameter of 90 centimetres – were loaded onto the lorries and are now making their way from the centre of the world (= the Munich metropolitan area🙃) into the tranquil Odenwald.
