A year ago, we were still dreaming of a place on the podium; last Sunday, our wish came true. At this year’s Schwabach City Run , our ‘ace up our sleeve’ lived up to his name and even brought home two medals: With a time of just 19:04 minutes over 5.3 km, our Adrian took 2nd place overall and even 1st place in his age group (= men aged 20 and over) – or to put it another way🥇: there was only one person who was faster, and by just one second. And as this runner was in the U16 age group, he was effectively running outside the competition😎.
As well as the podium finish, other dreams have come true too; for example, we’ve discovered a few hidden talents: having only taken up running last summer, he’s already smashed the 10.2 km this year – our Nico👍. But it’s not just the big, impressive achievements that make you happy🍀. Because success doesn’t come from wanting it, but from DOING it. When you’re cheered on by complete strangers lining the route , or when they’re cheering you on as you battle your way up the final hill just before the finish line with your last ounce of strength, that’s when the running bug has definitely bitten you.
Here are a few key details about the RIBE City Run in Schwabach on 11 October 2026:
- Distance of the main race: 10.2 kilometres
- Distance of the ‘Hobby’run: 5.3 kilometres
- Fastest man in the main race: 35:50 minutes → OUR fastest man: MARC with 54:20 minutes
- Fastest woman in the ‘Hobby’ run: 22:07 minutes → OUR fastest woman: ANNA with 35:15 minutes
We’ll see you again on 10 October 2027 in Schwabach – we’d love to have you there, because our next goal is: “EI-S – the biggest team on the starting line”👏. And in 2028, we’ll carry on with “EI-S – the strongest team on the starting line”💪 In short: We’re looking forward to seeing YOU♥️!
