A5 carriageway renewal in the Weinheim motorway intersection towards Heidelberg

Our Civil Engineering department has been awarded the contract for the "A5 FBE AK Weinheim, FR Heidelberg" project by Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, Niederlassung Südwest. The order volume amounts to €5,820,567.60 net. The project is scheduled to be completed between March 2026 and November 2026.

In the area of the Weinheim motorway junction, the carriageway on the A5 in the direction of Heidelberg will be fundamentally renewed in order to permanently eliminate existing damage to the carriageway. The measure includes the main carriageway of the A5 from approx. km 559+370 to km 560+640, the entire distributor carriageway including the deceleration lane as well as the ramps of the Darmstadt-Viernheim, Weinheim-Heidelberg, Darmstadt-Weinheim and Viernheim-Heidelberg carriageways.

The existing concrete and asphalt carriageways will be removed and replaced with a new asphalt carriageway structure.
