"Eiffage Infra-Süd GmbH has for years refrained from giving Christmas presents to external parties and instead wishes to use these funds to support meaningful local projects," explained Managing Director Alexander Ferstl at the cheque presentation. "We are particularly pleased that the money is being used for projects that benefit children."
The donation is going to the Ludwig and Theresien Orphanage Foundation, which is based in Schwabach, the headquarters of Eiffage Infra-Süd GmbH.
Part of the donation is to be used for the “Pfoten weg” project. This is a play developed by WEISSE RING in collaboration with the Konstanz-based theatre company “FigurenZauberei”.
“Pfoten weg” is a project designed to raise awareness of the issue of sexual violence against children. The theatre performances are scheduled to take place in January 2025 for all nursery school children in Schwabach – that’s around 1,470 children.
The remainder of the donation will be used for various holiday care initiatives. The City of Schwabach’s Department for Youth and Family Affairs wishes to offer a circus-themed care programme for a group of primary school children during the summer holidays.
