Our numerous construction sites in this region are just as diverse as the Odenwald itself . Starting with our Berkersklamm and Kisselhöhe tunnels, which form part of the Mörlenbach bypass on the B38, and our directly adjacent Mörlenbach viaduct, right through to Bad König and our Zell viaduct, where work is progressing apace. Yes, our bridge-building experts are not only at home in the south but are also slowly but surely ‘conquering’ the Bavarian-Hessian border.
In the photos below, you can see the reinforcement and formwork for the abutments at spans 10 and 40, as well as the formwork for the superstructure and the scaffolding erected over the railway line.
And we’ll be back soon with the next highlights, as the second photo shoot of the year is taking place on Thursday 12 November 26, powered by Julian Diel, an external photographer for Eiffage Infra-Bau SE. We’re looking forward to lots of impressive construction site moments, fascinating drone shots and, no doubt, the odd video highlight or two, and we’d like to thank everyone in advance for this fantastic opportunity.
Many more milestones will follow before the planned completion of the 120-metre-long valley bridge in the summer of 2027. “Until now, we’d only known ‘The Land of Unlimited Opportunities’ from ‘Uncle Sam’, but from now on , Bad König is for us ‘The Land of Unbridled Opportunities’, in keeping with the ‘unbridled Odenwald pace’ already cited by Kaweh Mansoori, Hesse’s Minister for Economic Affairs and Transport, at the ground-breaking ceremony .
Wewish everyone involved in the project continued success and an accident-free construction period.
