At the beginning of July, we were delighted to welcome distinguished visitors to our head office in Wallenhorst: District Administrator Anna Kebschull and Peter Vahrenkamp, Managing Director of the Osnabrück District Economic Development Agency (WIGOS), visited our premises to find out more about our company, our projects and the challenges we currently face.
During discussions with our managing directors, Frank Sauer and Manfred Inden, the District Administrator was impressed by the size and scope of the company. “I am delighted to learn first-hand about the projects the company is working on and where the greatest challenges lie. After all, medium-sized employers such as Eiffage Infra-Nordwest form the backbone of our local economy,” emphasised Anna Kebschull during the discussion.
WIGOS Managing Director Peter Vahrenkamp also highlighted the importance of regional companies for the region’s future viability: “Eiffage Infra-Nordwest impressively demonstrates that companies from the Osnabrück district are playing their part in tackling the major challenges facing our region in the future. At the same time, it is clear that skilled workers are the key to the success of these projects. This is precisely where we at WIGOS support the companies.”
A key focus of the visit, alongside the infrastructure of tomorrow, was in particular the recruitment of staff, including from abroad. During the joint discussion, approaches were explored on how companies in the region can be specifically supported in securing skilled workers.
