The best connectors at CONNECTA

Just in time for the new semester , our EI-S is also kicking off the new trade fair season, starting yesterday with the ‘CONNECTA’ careers fair on the OTH Regensburg campus . For 29 years now, a marquee covering approximately 1,000 m² has been erected here every year, in which over 250 companies and institutions are able to showcase themselves. The target audience is students from all disciplines looking for an internship, a part-time student job, a dissertation topic or even a permanent position💪.

For our EI-S, this fair has a very special ‘connection’. Not only because our Managing Director, Alexander Ferstl, once completed his degree in civil engineering here (at what was then known as FH Regensburg). A fair success story, the sort you’d normally only find in a textbook, was also written here. Because two years ago, it was right HERE that we met our current working student, Stefan Michl – or rather, he met us🍀. This was followed by a work placement semester on the Krondorf viaduct, which led seamlessly into his role as a working student – initially as part of his Bachelor’s degree and now continuing even whilst he’s studying for his Master’s👏. His Bachelor’s thesis was also thoroughly EIFFAGE-focused, but we’ll be reporting on that separately soon.

To bring this success story full circle, he attended yesterday’s CONNECTA not as a visitor but representing our company alongside our colleague from Contract and Amendment Management and our HR staff. This success story delighted all visitors to our stand and was the perfect “icebreaker” for further discussions and, hopefully, plenty of job applications – very much in keeping with CONNECTA’s slogan: “Grab your career”.
