Eiffage Infra-Spezialtiefbau GmbH is carrying out the civil engineering and shoring work for the new Heinzelmännchenweg municipal grammar school in Düsseldorf.
The project will run from October 2025 to spring 2026, during which time Eiffage Infra-Spezialtiefbau will construct 3000 square metres of excavation shoring with sheet piling and soldier pile walls. The sheet piling boxes for the excavation pit have already been placed in the ground. Coordination with the parallel construction of a sewer by an external company is a particular challenge during the work.
As soon as the shoring work has been completed, we will start excavating the earth together with our subcontractor. The total excavation volume of around 8000 cubic metres will be removed and loaded in stages. Work on anchoring the sheet pile wall back into the neighbouring construction site runs in parallel with the excavation. This will ensure that the sheet pile wall can withstand the earth pressure.
