The VBA extends over a length of approx. 7.5 km on the A 3 motorway between the Hilden interchange and the Mettmann interchange, in the area between the Hilden interchange and the Breitscheid interchange, approx. 18 km (2nd construction phase) as well as the 3rd construction phase on the A 3 and partly on the A 2 motorway between the Breitscheid interchange and the Oberhausen interchange in both directions of travel.
