Project volume

EUR 1.1 million

Construction time

Nov. 2025 - May 2026

Eiffage Infra-Spezialtiefbau was commissioned with the pile foundation for five new pylons to be erected for the construction of a 380-kV high-voltage line around 250 kilometres long in Riemst, a municipality in the south-east of the Flemish province of Limburg in Belgium.

The client for the project is Herbosch-Kiere (Eiffage Belgium), while the network operator ELIA Group is the client.

The project started in mid-November 2025 and completion of the bored pile foundations, with twelve piles per pylon location, is scheduled for May 2026.

Carrying out the work under an existing high-voltage power line poses a particular challenge. In particular, the limited maximum working height of 21 metres requires careful planning and adapted construction processes. For this reason, a drilling rig with a shortened mast will be used, among other things.
