Construction of sewers and rainwater treatment plants in Essen
EI-ST consortium partner:
- 2 overlapping bored pile excavation pits, D=12 and 15 m; T=14 m
- 1,600 m of tunnelling using the partial-cut method with compressed air, from DN 2000 (DA 2400) to DN 3800 (DA 4700), using reinforced concrete pipes
- Diaphragm wall excavation pit, D = 1.20 m lamella thickness; 100 m long; 8 m wide and 36 m of lamella embedment, of which 18 m is in marl
Consortium partner Smet Tunneling:
- 1,600 m of AVN tunnelling from DN 1,200 (DA 1,560) to DN 2,800 (DA 3,600) using reinforced concrete pipes
- 246 m of microtunnelling from DN 300 to DN 800
EI-NW:
