Renewal of all points and sidings at Düsseldorf-Gerresheim station.
Complete renewal of the ballast in the area undergoing refurbishment; installation of PSS and partial replacement of the subgrade to improve the subgrade; installation of new deep drainage / collection pipe and filter basin extending to the River Düssel.
This included the following works:
- 10 sets of points reconstruction
- 3,000 m of track renewal
- 5,500 tonnes of base ballast laid
- 13,000 tonnes of KG I / KG II ballast laid
- 12,000 tonnes of soil disposal
- 1,950 m of deep drainage
- Underground cable works
- Construction of a new soil filter basin
