Breakthrough ceremony at the Berkersklamm tunnel

In Mörlenbach, located in the beautiful Odenwald, construction site history was written yesterday, Tuesday 17 June. Our project team from the Berkersklamm tunnel achieved the breakthrough . THE perfect reason to celebrate, even though the last celebration was not so long ago. Because the traditional tunnel tapping ceremony only took place on 23.01.25. Since then, together with our consortium partner HOCHTIEF, we have completed 360 metres of tunnel.

In the following pictures, the tunnel excavator is working on the last few metres until it can finally be seen, "the light at the end of the tunnel". Together with the mayor of Mörlenbach, our project team is eagerly awaiting this unique moment in the tunnel. And on the other side, the south portal, there is also excitement in the air with our tunnel patron Hortense Kadesch .

And of course, St Barbara, the patron saint of miners, is not to be missed at this unique event. She watches over the well-being of the tunnellers and is passed through the tunnel breakthrough during the ceremony.

We congratulate them on this outstanding achievement and wish them continued success and an accident-free construction period. Here's to further milestones and good luck!
