New noise barrier in Bissendorf brings more peace and quiet to the Wissingen district

An important noise barrier project has been successfully completed in the municipality of Bissingen. In the Wissingen district, the Eiffage Infra-Lärmschutz team erected a new noise barrier approximately 1,200 metres long along the Rhine–Löhne railway line.

The work included, amongst other things:

  • the construction of a new noise barrier made of highly sound-absorbing lightweight metal elements
  • the foundation work for the barrier, using high-frequency vibrators to ensure exceptional stability in the ground
  • the use of modern, noise-reduced machinery to minimise noise pollution during construction work
  • comprehensive safety measures and permanent barriers to protect workers along active railway lines

The new noise barrier now provides local residents with significantly more peace and quiet from the noise of passing trains, thereby noticeably improving the quality of life in the area.
In this way, Eiffage Infra-Lärmschutz demonstrates how we use well-thought-out measures to ensure greater protection and a better quality of life for everyone along heavily used railway lines.
