- Demolition of the existing structures and construction of new bridges on the same site, including the erection of temporary bridges for diversion routes immediately adjacent to the existing structures
- Construction of the adjacent carriageways, roads and pavements
- Dismantling of the temporary bridges following completion of the new bridge structures
