Project volume

EUR 1.1 million

Construction time

November 2025 - approx. May 2026

Eiffage Infra-Spezialtiefbau has been commissioned with the pile foundations for five new pylons to be built for the construction of a 380 kV high-voltage line over 250 kilometres in Riemst, a municipality in the south-east of the Flemish province of Limburg in Belgium.

The client for the project is Herbosch-Kiere (Eiffage Belgium) and the contractor is the network operator ELIA Group.

The project began in mid-November 2025 and completion of the bored pile foundations with 12 piles per site is scheduled for May 2026.

One particular challenge of the project is working under an existing high-voltage power line, primarily due to the maximum working height of 21 metres. As a result, a shortened mast of our drilling rig must also be used.
