For our trainees in the administration and mechanical engineering departments, this year is all about social engagement. As part of two special projects, they are supporting people in Osnabrück: in September, they supported the Osnabrück Food Bank. A Christmas campaign for the Osnabrück Hospice is also planned for November.

Support for the Osnabrück Food Bank
Every Friday in September, the trainees worked in small groups at the Osnabrück Food Bank. They took on a variety of tasks: they checked incoming food donations for quality, sorted the food for the food bank’s users and, together with the volunteers, prepared the boxes for distribution.

The initiative gave the trainees the opportunity to gain new perspectives beyond their everyday working lives and to raise their awareness of the living conditions of socially disadvantaged people. At the same time, they were able to support the valuable work of the Osnabrück Food Bank directly on site.

Looking ahead: Christmas campaign for the Osnabrück Hospice
The next trainee project is already on the horizon: in November, the trainees plan to work together to wrap Christmas presents for the Osnabrück Hospice. The presents are made possible by donations from staff and are intended to bring joy to the residents during the Advent season.

We are delighted with the commitment and dedication of our trainees!💪👍
