At our Flembach Bridge in Michelfeld ,we don’t let anything seep through – except for a job well done💪. After the carriageway was sealed with epoxy resin last weekend, work began on Monday to waterproof the area beneath the caps using welded membranes, which we had installed in parallel. In the meantime, the abutments have been fully backfilled and the kerbs have been set in the road area 👍.
Today , on Flembach Bridge Day , the cap reinforcement is being installed and the formwork finalised so that the caps can be concreted next Monday. In short: our bridge-building team can slowly but surely start the countdown to the end of the road closure, so that soon we’ll be saying: “3, 2, 1… road closure over”👏.
