Our Vilstal bridge has often been the "focus of our investigations":
- A lot going on at the Vils
- While you were sleeping
- Save the date: Large-scale concreting
- 20 hours of pure concrete power
...in short: Our project team has always worked at full throttle and so it is only logical that we were able to celebrate the topping-out ceremony last Wednesday, 6 May. The end of our construction work is within our grasp - contractually until October 2026, but we expect to be able to finish by the end of June 2026👏.
A great reason to celebrate and look back on the past few months together. Our project manager for civil engineering on the Vilstal Bridge provided interesting insights into the development of our bridge, from the construction start-up meeting on 30 October 2020 to our proposal to construct the superstructure in one large concrete pour rather than in two sections, the first concrete pour even BEFORE the contractual start of construction and only around eight months later the aforementioned large concrete pour in one "go", right up to today, our topping-out ceremony🥳.
But it wasn't just the development that was the focus of our project manager's speech. A topping-out ceremony like this is also THE opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone at Beteiligten♥️.Because without this team in the background, this pace would not have been possible:
Starting with the precision landing of our calculation, through the great support from our work preparation and our purchasing department, to the department management and management, who gave our project team the confidence to implement the construction site in this way🤝.
A very special action and inauguration of our bridge😎 provided the laugh of the day : the first few metres over the Vilstal Bridge were covered with a pallet truck - not a dry eye was left in the house😅.
