The first construction phase of the Krondorf viaduct has been in operation since the weekend of 15/16 June 2024. Thanks to the 4+0 traffic routing on the new bridge, the Regensburg and Nuremberg carriageways are now open to two lanes again. Our major project is now entering its second half. Preparations are currently underway for the demolition of the 2nd existing bridge, for which the launching scaffolding for the demolition of the existing superstructure is being prepared. This is to be pre-assembled under the bridge in mid-July to remove the carriageway as a prestressed box girder. Demolition will start on 20 June 2024 with the milling off of the asphalt pavement.
