For some, Friday means “Hands up, it’s the weekend”, but not in the Upper Palatinate – things work a bit differently here . Because every Friday is Flembach Bridge Day, and there’s a new update from our bridge-building team💪. It gets more spectacular every time – this time with 700 tonnes of heavy-duty support.
Last Tuesday, the precast girders were hoisted into place🏗️ and now the reinforcement has been installed, so that everything can subsequently be concreted into a single, continuous superstructure. This is already scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday.
Week 5 of the closure is complete – or to put it another way: the second half has kicked off and we’re still right on schedule👏.
