The secret to the success of the Isar bridges

Another milestone has been reached on the Große Isar : following the concreting of the deck, traffic is now flowing across our newly constructed temporary bridge. In the photos below, you can see ‘the calm before the storm’, just a few hours before traffic was diverted from the existing bridge to our temporary bridge during the night of 21 to 22 September 26👏.

But no matter how much dedication goes into it, the preparation and execution usually take longer than the ‘consumption’, and so our temporary bridge won’t be around for long either. For, as its name suggests, it was built solely as a temporary measure to keep traffic flowing until we have demolished the existing bridge and rebuilt it . In short: there’s no time to rest. We’re movingstraight on to the demolition of the existing bridge💪.
