Excavators, concrete, enthusiasm

It’s Flembach Bridge Day again, and this week we didn’t just have tonnes of support in the form of various pieces of machinery, concrete and earth that were moved. No, this time we made our youngest visitors’ hearts beat faster and won over lots of new fans who would one day like to follow in the footsteps of our bridge-building experts♥️. The primary school pupils from Michelfeld still have a few years of school ahead of them, but as we all know, time flies. That’s a fitting reference for our Flembach Bridge, because ‘fast’ is actually an understatement here💪.

Last Saturday , the superstructure was concreted. Once again, lots of heavy machinery was brought in, and flawless teamwork was essential – the crowning achievement of our project team🤝. Afterwards, the formwork removal work began and , at the same time , the abutments at axes 10 and 20 were backfilled, now up to the lower edge of the drag plates, which are being installed today. In addition, the formwork for the caps was prepared and the first reinforcement cages were woven.

The waterproofing will be applied today, Friday. For this , we’re using a special resin that can be applied even after such a short time.

Bridge construction at the speed of light🚀 – something to amaze young and old alike. To ensure our youngest residents are well protected as they start school in the lovely village of Michelfeld, despite our building site and the resulting increase in traffic, we have donated a total of 60 high-visibility vests for children. At the official handover ceremony on Thursday 10 September 26, attended by the Mayor of Auerbach, Birgit Barth, and our client, the Amberg-Sulzbach State Building Authority, represented by Christoph Weh and Stefan Noll, the little ones were absolutely thrilled and a few of them even discovered their dream jobs – naturally with the company whose logo is on the back of the high-visibility vests😍.
