In March 2015, HWB began with the replacement of 12 traffic light girders and the refurbishment of 2 traffic light girders for signage on the A42 motorway in Duisburg and the replacement of 13 traffic light girders for signage and the refurbishment of safety equipment on other federal motorways, federal roads and rural roads in the western Ruhr region.
In the eastern part, 16 traffic light girders, including 2 traffic light bridges, were demolished and 14 traffic light girders for signage and some safety equipment were replaced and one traffic light bridge was refurbished.
A further 6 traffic light girders for signage and some safety devices in the central part of the Ruhr area were demolished and replaced. Two VZ girders were refurbished.
