Renewal of the railway overpass in 71 hours

  • Demolition of existing structure including wing corner areas in the upper third using wire saws and
    demolition excavators.
  • Installation of 4 new support benches with weights of up to 50 tonnes.
  • Removal of the old trough superstructures (approx. 45 tonnes) and installation of the new troughs
    with weights of up to 90 tonnes.
  • Installation of edge paths as well as track, earthworks, concrete and civil engineering.
  • Securing the existing structure with micropiles up to 32 metres in length.
  • Execution of the bridge replacement work on the Easter weekend 2015
    from 04/04/2015 3:00 am to 07/04/2015 2:00 am)
