The project had a core construction period of just six weeks. 8.5 kilometres of track were renewed with ballast cleaning, of which six kilometres were carried out using the assembly line method and 2.5 kilometres conventionally. In addition, twelve level crossings were removed and reinstalled and 2.2 kilometres of side tracks were installed.

Wittfeld was responsible for the railway overpasses (prefabricated construction) and two culverts for this project.
