The construction site presented a number of challenges, as the interior fit-out of the hotel was also taking place at the same time and many trades required storage space and room.
Günther Marquardt, foreman at Eiffage Infra-Südwest, had to "work hard" every morning on the construction site. Especially when the interior fittings were later completed, there were sometimes 200 mattresses, televisions, shower cubicles or even hundreds of chairs where our construction site was located. There was also a "pre-opening phase" for the hotel. This meant that guests were allowed to check in even though not all areas had been completed - including the outdoor facilities.
A paved surface was imprinted into the asphalt in the entrance area. This "streetprint process" is not an everyday occurrence.
Here, the job was completed under difficult conditions, as it was of course important to be considerate of the guests in terms of noise and dust. The job was successfully completed in August 2020 and once again delivered a great result for the client, for whom Eiffage Infra-Südwest has already realised other projects.
