Renovation of the A59 motorway near Duisburg under the technical management of Heinrich Walter Bau GmbH.

In a joint venture with two consortium partners, we are carrying out the renovation of a section of the A 59 motorway near Duisburg.

The A 59 motorway is an important traffic artery in the Ruhr area and the demolition and new construction work must therefore be carried out without disrupting road traffic.

As part of the widening of the A 59 motorway from 4 to 6 lanes, extensive demolition and dismantling work must first be carried out, such as the demolition of the old retaining walls and bridge structures and the dismantling of a road tunnel.

After the demolition, the lanes are to be widened from 4 to 6 lanes over a length of approx. 1.1 km, over 850 m of retaining walls and more than 230 m of noise barriers are to be built. In addition, two new footpath and cycle path bridges and a road bridge will be built. Two traffic sign bridges and cantilevers will also be built as part of the project.
