Motorway construction in the Ruhr conurbation with its high volume of traffic and the resulting frequent traffic jams is always a challenge.
In this case, our construction site is divided into several small construction areas due to the many structures to be renovated, which makes construction very challenging in terms of logistics. In addition, around 60,000 tonnes of PAH-contaminated material has to be disposed of. This is transported from the construction site directly onto a ship and sent for thermal utilisation in Rotterdam NL.
Added to this is the high level of planning and coordination required, as remediation planning has to be carried out for each structure to be remediated. In addition, it is customary to tender essential trades separately in specialised lots.
In our case, for example, there is the FL noise barrier, FL passive protective equipment or FL sign construction, which we are responsible for coordinating and which we have to integrate into our construction process.
