he renovation of the sports field at the Samuel-Heinicke state school in Leipzig was completed in September 2021. While our structural engineering department carried out driven piles and concrete work as a foundation on the former cemetery site in the previous year 2020, our civil engineering department carried out the restoration of the sports field in a separate lot in 2021. The services included the construction of drainage and drainage pipes, the construction of an unbound sports field substructure including artificial turf with cork infill, a running track made of an elastic layer and the renewal of all sports equipment (jumping pit, shot put facility, football goals, volleyball nets, etc.) and electrical equipment. Due to the special foundation (pile grid), work in some areas was only possible with load limitation and small equipment.
