Just under eight metres below the Elbe, the tunnelling technology of the Eiffage Infra-Bau Group
is drilling through the ground. Behind it, a 240 metre long Elbe tunnel for the DREWAG district heating pipelines is being built.
This includes the following services:
- Production of the replacement boreholes (soil replacement) in the caisson area of the
start and finish pit - Carrying out vibrating tamping to increase the load-bearing capacity in the caisson area of the start and finish pit
- Installation of DN 1000 steel pipe dolphins as impact protection to secure the start and finish pit during the construction period
- Installation of sheet pile wall box and buoyancy protection
