Thanks to the new sewer, the Boye regional receiving watercourse has been ecologically upgraded. The wastewater inflow, which was previously channelled into the Emscher tributary, now runs underground. The consortium was responsible for the tunnelling, the frame profiles and the reinforced concrete shaft structures. Wittfeld (now Eiffage Infra-Nordwest) laid the channels using the cut-and-cover method. A reservoir channel (SKU) as a relief structure and restoration work completed the scope.
