In the course of the basic renewal of the A65 motorway in a half-sided construction method, the drainage pipe was also renewed, a monolithic kerb gutter system of 1,200 m was constructed and a structure was renovated.
This included the following services:
- Sewer pit excavation and sewer trench backfilling of approx. 2,000 m³
- Removal of approx. 8,800 m³ of excess formation material
- Removal of embankment and construction of approx. 3,000 m³
- Laying of approx. 7,200 m of drainage pipe
- Laying of approx. 1,400 m of PE-HD pipe DN300 to DN800
- Construction of approx. 250 m of shoring
- Creation of approx. 9,000 m² of grass seed and approx. 2,400 m of clearing work in the central reservation
- Construction of approx. 6,700 m² of cement stabilisation and 64,000 m² of asphalt base course, asphalt binder course and stone mastic surface course
- Laying of approx. 190 m² of paving
- Recycling of approx. 27,000 tonnes of asphalt milled material and 8,800 m³ of excess formation material
Special features of the construction project:
We faced particular challenges due to the limited space available for both the renewal of 1,400 m of sewer and the laying of 1,600 tonnes of asphalt with a feeder. In addition, we only had a paving width of approx. 5.15 m per construction section for the half-sided base renewal of the carriageway.
