Summer break, what is that?

While things are a little quieter in some companies during the summer holidays, our construction team in Hersbruck is in full swing.

In the east of Nuremberg in Äußere Sulzbacher Straße, we were already active at the Thumenberger Weg stop in June and July. Here we renovated 100 metres of double track in two construction phases. And now we're already moving on to the next construction site in Äußere Sulzbacher Straße, this time from Walzwerkstraße to Ostbahnhof, with a construction period from August to November 2025💪.

Demolition work for the renovation of 475 metres of double track began on 28.07.25. The entire construction project between Walzwerkstraße and Ostbahnhof includes

• Demolition and removal of existing tracks with various superstructure systems - the existing tracks were installed as ballastless track with mastic asphalt, in some cases even underpouring was used.
• Installation of tracks of the "Slab track 2016 with grooved rails 59R2 with special grade concrete" superstructure system
• Route optimisation

In short: our track construction team in Hersbruck is giving its all for local public transport in Nuremberg👏.
