The LBM Cochem-Koblenz entrusted our specialist department for structural maintenance with the renovation work on parts of the elevated road.
The renovation work includes the renewal of the carriageway surface, including the sealing as well as the transition structure, the bridge caps and the railings. In addition, the entire bridge superstructure will be repaired in order to replace the damaged concrete. The drainage pipes of the substructures will be renewed along their entire length and relocated from the box girder to the outside.
The renovation work above the Deutsche Bahn presents us with particular challenges, as prescribed closure times must be adhered to here. The work must be coordinated so that the scheduled times can be adhered to during night shift operations.
The contract is worth around €7.3 million net.
The work will begin in June 2025 and is expected to be completed in March 2027.
