Our project team has laid the foundations: Production of the piers and abutments, construction of the construction roads and cycle cellars and much more.
The final shunting of the first assembly section is planned for the end of November - partly during a break in traffic via Deutsche Bahn. Only the last few metres of the shunting section will take place during the track possession break, as the steel components will bend by approx. 3.5 metres during this approx. 90 metre long shunting operation and thus protrude into the clearance gauge of the railway line.
After these three shifts, the first of four assembly sections with 220 metres of steel box girder will be completed and the conversion of the incremental launching device can begin.
At the same time, the next steel components will be delivered on the opposite side, from where they will be shunted in the same process for approx.
After the sliding processes, the gap closure is welded directly over the Main, the superstructure is aligned and stacked.
From summer 2025, our project team will be in demand again to construct the carriageway slab and the rest of the bridge.
We wish the entire project team continued success and look forward to many joint milestones.
Perhaps we'll soon be enjoying the romance of bridges in the snow? In beautiful Upper Franconia, this is not out of the question at the end of November...
