The slogan of the Special Olympics Bavaria 2025 says more than a thousand words and the shining eyes of all participants even more so.

The largest inclusive multi-sport event in Bavaria may have already come to an end on 18 July 2025, but the many impressions and experiences still linger and are deeply rooted in the hearts of all participants.

In addition to a total of 19 sports, there was once again the ever-popular "non-competitive offer", an open hands-on and games course. Participation is also possible without prior registration. The organisers were particularly pleased that not only the numerous athletes took advantage of these games, but also groups of visitors from kindergartens, schools and workshops came along and had a lot of fun playing together and playing inclusive games. Our two 1st-year apprentices were also there to support the event as helpers and were able to experience many unforgettable moments⭐.

"The smiles on people's faces when I came round the corner with the purple cushion and the medals on it was really great and a priceless moment. Many athletes even insisted on a high five from me at the end as confirmation or a warm hug," reported our trainee afterwards. This enthusiasm immediately spilled over , so that the two even tried out the individual stations themselves. Once again a huge THANK YOU to you, you were super💝!

A premiere of the state games was also celebrated in Erlangen, as two new sports were part of the games for the first time: Hockey with six teams in a one-day tournament and THE sport of Erlangen - handball. And so the handball players from HC Erlangen did not miss the opportunity to organise an evening event with an autograph session at organisieren✍️.

In short, an all-round successful week of events that whets the appetite for more : the next Special Olympics are already in the starting blocks, at least as far as planning is concerned. Because next up are the 2027 Winter Games in Sonthofen⛷️.
