Our Structural Maintenance department has been awarded the contract by the Montabaur branch of Autobahn GmbH des Bundes for the repair of the A64a Moselle valley bridge near Trier-Ehrang. The order volume amounts to € 2,451,539.41 net. The execution period is scheduled for February 2026 to August 2026.
The subject of the main contract is the assembly of suspended scaffolding on the Moselle bridge. The scaffolding will be installed over the entire length of the bridge between the two main girders and will serve as working and protective scaffolding for subsequent repair measures, which are not part of this tender. It is not planned to dismantle the scaffolding - it will remain permanently on the bridge and will become the property of the federal motorway company Autobahn GmbH after completion.
The scope of services also includes the maintenance and inspection of the suspended scaffolding over the entire warranty period of five years. The scaffolding is expected to remain in place until the planned demolition of the bridge in around 20 to 30 years.
The construction project is divided into two individual contracts. In addition to the main contract, the smaller contract includes the cleaning of pigeon droppings before and during the work as well as the installation of a bird flight protection system on the abutment and on the entire underside of the bridge. This serves to protect the suspended scaffolding and ensure its long-term functionality.
With this project, we are making an important contribution to the long-term maintenance of the transport infrastructure.
