Our Structural Maintenance department has been commissioned by Autobahn GmbH des Bundes to replace the bearings on the Wiedbachtal bridge.
Initially, all existing movable bearings on the superstructure in the direction of Frankfurt will be removed and replaced with new spherical bearings. The fixed bearings will be refurbished on site, which means that the bearing replacement will have to take place under traffic. In addition, the entire drainage pipework will be replaced and the underside of the bridge will be repaired.
The contract value is around €2.1 million net. Construction work will begin in May 2025 and is expected to be completed in July 2026.
