On the traditional trade route along the Vogelfluglinie, 88 km of track will be modernised, 55 km of noise barriers erected and six traffic stations built in eight contract award packages.
As technical project manager for contract package 03, Eiffage Infra-Nordwest GmbH is realising the earthworks and civil engineering work in the two longest construction phases together with Strabag SE in a bidding consortium.
The European flagship project is being realised using the innovative rail partnership model. This is based on integrated project management (IPA) with a multi-party contract. This promotes cooperation between the partner companies involved by enabling us to plan resources efficiently and thus achieve the set goals more quickly.
The approval procedures for our sections will start next year. Until the Federal Railway Authority issues the building permit, our engineers will support Deutsche Bahn with the implementation planning, which is expected to keep us busy in railway construction until mid-2026. In the following years, the realisation phase will follow together with our alliance partners.
