Landesbetrieb Mobilität Worms has commissioned our Structural Maintenance department to carry out maintenance work on the Winnweiler district road bridge, which dates back to 1986.
As part of the work, the bridge caps will be renewed and the structure will be sealed in the cap area. The carriageway surface and verge will also be resurfaced and the transition structures replaced. As there is a footpath and cycle path on the outer canopy, the canopy will be widened from 1.85 m to 2.05 m and the railing will be raised to 1.30 m. A particular focus of this construction project is the protection of the traffic routes and waterways below. Among other things, a federal road (B48), a railway station including 2 tracks, a local road and several bodies of water are located under the bridge.
The contract value is approximately €1.5 million net. Construction work has already begun and is expected to be completed in October 2025.
