We are delighted to be able to support the "Tiere helfen" association in Wallenhorst again this year.
We have been supporting animal-assisted therapy at the Bohnenkämper riding centre in Wallenhorst for over 10 years. The riding therapy helps children and young people to strengthen their self-confidence and improve their ability to concentrate, for example.
Daniela Kray founded the "Tiere helfen" (Animals help) support association so that children from socially disadvantaged families can also benefit from therapy in the saddle and activities on the ground with non-judgemental horses, as this therapy programme is not supported by health insurance companies.
Ten-year-old Mira on therapy horse Tara showed us that horses can bring moments of happiness, big and small. The girl beams as Tara dares to walk through a pink ball curtain with her in the saddle.
Regular commitment to children in the region is important to us and we are delighted to see how - in this case Mira - blossoms during animal-assisted therapy.
