The Eifel-Rur water board has commissioned Eiffage Infra-Nordwest's civil engineering department with the conversion of the Düren sewage treatment plant.
This construction project involves the special civil engineering for the conversion of the sewage treatment plant in the new expansion stage, the construction of additional structures such as an inlet pumping station, screening plant and the construction of a new combined basin with partial flow treatment. The expansion of the sewage treatment plant will take place while the existing sewage treatment plant is in operation and is necessary in order to reduce the existing odour emissions and to cope with the increasing volume of wastewater.
At the ground-breaking ceremony, which took place on 25 April 2024, our employee Florian Kock impressed everyone present with our CSM (Cutter Soil Mixing) technology. Even the mayor "had a go" on the machine.
The construction project will be realised in around 9 months from April 2024 to January 2025 with a contract value of €5.1 million.
